Check out our latest wetroom for a returning customer in Swanston. We also recently refurbished their small w/c room. The customer was previously a bathroom fitter so the pressure was on! π
but we’re pleased to say they were delighted with the quality of work!
After stripping the room, we framed out the walls to allow for a full width niche in the shower with LED light and a wall hung toilet with a concealed cistern.
We installed our usual Schluter Wi-Fi enabled underfloor heating ensuring a nice cosy floor under foot.
The shower was fully prepped with waterproof Jackoboard - our go to for the quality and ease of use. We also installed a Jackon Aqua wetroom tray and drain.
The 900mm wall hung basin unit is a Roca Prisma with Hansgrohe Vernis mixer in matt black, we installed a light under the basin unit to match the niche and a black framed LED mirror above. The ambient light in this room is beautiful β¨
Our customer also opted for matching Hansgrohe accessories in matt black and one of our favourite showers Hansgrohe select in matt black with raindance shower head and separate handset.
The shower glass is from Merlyn, finished in a black frame. Duravit rimless wall hung toilet with black flushplate. Tiles supplied by Victor Paris are 800x800mm Sovereign Grigio tiles.

Check out this stunning bathroom we’ve just complete for our returning customer in Blackhall, Edinburgh complete with a Japanese digital smart toilet, Mira Mode digital WiFi enabled shower, schluter WiFi enabled underfloor heating. The wall hung basin and tall unit provides ample storage. A second bathroom completed for our customer in Prestonfield, this time his en-suite. The shower area was most important to the customer, so a Hansgrohe Axor shower and Merlyn Arysto X sliding shower door were chosen for the job and did not disappoint. The quality of the Arysto X range is clear to see (no pun intended π)
We installed a Duravit rimless toilet and wall hung vanity unit with 2 drawers, finished off with a Hansgrohe basin tap.
A Sensia mirrored cabinet, along with an led-lit niche in the shower controlled by a movement sensor allow for a softer lighting option in the evenings.

We’ve kept a traditional look with some modern tech including Schluter underfloor heating with Wi-Fi thermostat, PIR-sensor niche and wall lights, creating a beautiful ambient light and warm feeling to the room. The bath is a Bette steel with Roper Rhodes bath filler and traditional shower with raindance head and slider kit finished, with a Roper Rhodes bath panel to match the free standing basin unit. Traditional style back to wall toilet with matching soft close toilet seat, concealed cistern and Crosswater dual flush plate. We have used the same Acapulco tiles for the bulkhead on the back of the niche. We are absolutely delighted to get this one over the line. We’ve turned an unusable ensuite shower room (due to leaking) into a stunning walk in wet floor shower room. Fully tanked and waterproofed with Jackoboard. We’ve added a 3D back light wall behind the basin with feature tiles and a back lit mirror. We’ve also used the same feature tiles in the niche with LED lighting, together they give a beautiful ambient light to the room. One of our final jobs before finishing up for Christmas was a reconfiguration of 2 existing en-suites.
The customer wanted one of the en-suites to become a shower room accessible from their hallway, which was achieved by reconfiguring the walls, blocking up the door in the bedroom and creating a new doorway in the hall.
We lowered and altered drainage to be able to have floor level shower trays and no unsightly pipe boxes.
The sliding Crosswater shower doors were a dream to work with. The basin taps and showers were also by Crosswater. Textured Fiora shower trays along with Selkie wetwall boards completed the shower area.
The customer opted for Roper Rhodes freestanding vanity units with gorgeous underslung Carrara Marble sinks, giving plenty of storage space.
Vitra toilets, Zehnder heated towel rails and Karndean flooring completed the rooms. Not to mention a top painting job as always by our decorator.

A simple and stylish bathroom we recently completed in Baberton, Edinburgh. One of the customer’s main requirements was lots of storage space, which was achieved with classic built-in units and replacing the bath with a shower enclosure. The customer chose a Mira shower, Hansgrohe tap and Eastbrook towel radiator for the brassware in the room. Check out one of our latest renovations in Shandon, Edinburgh. The customer’s traditional bathroom layout was replaced with a modern shower-room layout. We removed a redundant water tank which was housed in the lowered bathroom ceiling, allowing the ceiling height to be considerably increased, making the room feel much more light and spacious. The customer opted for wall tiles by Wow Design Pottery with cosmic blue and gold feature tiles. The gold tiles are the most expensive we’ve installed to date - retailing at £1,400 per m2! WOW indeed! RAK Ceramics Evoque floor tiles completed the look.
Other features in the room include a niche shelf in the shower area with auto sensor lighting. A Geberit concealed cistern with a Duravit Starck wall hung toilet, Vado raindance shower, Utopia freestanding basin unit in a classic peakock blue colour and a HIB LED mirror cabinet. Previously there was no heating in this room so the team ran the necessary pipes in to allow a Zehnder heated towel radiator to be fitted, making the shower-room cosier as the weather turns colder. Check out this gorgeous bathroom! We are delighted with the outcome of this one. Having finished the majority of the work 8 weeks ago, our customer has been patiently waiting on a bespoke custom-made shower enclosure arriving from Drench Showers, allowing for one end of the glass to sit on top of the bulkhead. The bathroom suite was supplied by Wildboar bathrooms in Musselburgh. If you are based down that way, we highly recommend giving Mark’s showroom a visit. The beautiful spacious basin unit was also bespoke made, finished with a marble worktop and storage drawers to keep the bathroom clutter free. A wall hung toilet for easy floor cleaning, with a concealed cistern and a sleek chrome towel rail with dual fuel control, meaning your towels can stay warm and dry even when your central heating isn’t on! Lastly, our usual Schluter underfloor heating was fitted, complete with wi-fi touchscreen which can also be controlled with an app on your phone. I don’t know about you but we have severe bathroom envy π We hope the customer enjoys their beautiful new shower sanctuary!

This has to be one of my favourite projects to date. As a plumbing & heating engineer to trade, I really enjoyed installing this Cloakroom with exposed copper pipework including a copper waste. Working with the original @thomascrapperco products is always a treat. We also exposed the original cast iron soil stack and our decorator worked her magic sanding then painting it back to its original matt black colour. Our customer who works with wood everyday supplied this beautiful piece of Burr Elm for the main feature behind the basin. Something a bit different this time. A very awkward shaped room with a curved wall. We’ve converted this cramped bathroom into a spacious wet-room. @duravit furniture with @burlingtonbathroom taps and shower. Our customer opted for hexagon mosaics on the curved wall and rustic white tiles on the rest of the walls with blue patterned tiles on the floor. We’re delighted with the end result of our latest bathroom refurbishment in Leith.
The customer chose 4 different tiles from the moments range at Collinson Ceramics, giving the room texture and depth. We swapped the position of the toilet and basin to allow more space when getting in and out of the bath. For a relaxing bath experience we built tiled niche shelves complete with ambient LED lighting, and also positioned the bath taps and shower controls in the centre of the bath so they can be easily reached. The tiled bulkhead for the concealed cistern and sink was finished with a solid oak worktop.
The room was finished with a HiB pendant light, Roca Prisma storage cabinet, Roca flushplate and made to measure mirror glass.

The photos really don’t do the work that went in to this bathroom justice. Working in 200 year old buildings always throws up unexpected challenges and this project was certainly no different!
The team worked for 3 weeks to transform this bathroom, strengthening the lath and plaster walls so they could comfortably cope with the stunning 1.2 metre long tiles from Ariostea. Installing a walk in shower and Crosswater Belgravia shower, with the control positioned at the entrance to avoid wet arms when turning the shower on! Laying 10m2 of Schluter underfloor heating, complete with a wireless touchscreen control pad, which is Wi-Fi enabled so it can be operated through a phone app. Cue laying in bed, popping the underfloor heating on before you head for your morning shower! πΏ Just us? No? π
The customer chose a super stylish double vanity unit by Vitra, complete with matching freestanding storage drawers underneath. The sink area was completed with a Roper Rhodes 1.2 metre long mirror and J.Adams & Co Flume wall lights. IP44 rated for safety, in a Satin Nickel finish.

Our last bathroom before we finished up for an Easter break. This time it was a farm house near Kelty, the customer went for a timeless traditional yet modern look. We installed a beautiful Burlington freestanding bath. Heritage basin, taps and shower. HIB illuminated mirror, double toothbrush charger, Zehnder beige heated towel radiator. The room is finished in sovereign beige tiles on the bath and shower walls, tongue and groove wood panelling on the remaining walls and Sorano Karndean flooring. A lot of work went into prepping this bathroom, including levelling the floor after discovering a 9cm dip in the centre of the room when the team lifted the floor! Our last bathroom before we finished up for an Easter break. This time it was a farm house near Kelty, the customer went for a timeless traditional yet modern look. We installed a beautiful Burlington freestanding bath. Heritage basin, taps and shower. HIB illuminated mirror, double toothbrush charger, Zehnder beige heated towel radiator. The room is finished in sovereign beige tiles on the bath and shower walls, tongue and groove wood panelling on the remaining walls and Sorano Karndean flooring. A lot of work went into prepping this bathroom, including levelling the floor after discovering a 9cm dip in the centre of the room when the team lifted the floor! We’ve also removed the redundant fire to create an ambient feature using LED lighting.

Cue us installing a 1.4m long low profile stone shower tray, Kudos ultimate2 shower glass with black profiles and a black square-head rain shower. They opted for a Mylife toilet (rimless for easier cleaning), a wall hung basin unit with black mixer tap, black designer towel radiator and a HIB Solstice illuminated mirror. We’ve updated this customer’s en-suite shower room, with Grant Westfield Multipanel wetwall boards throughout the whole room for ease of cleaning. A Vitra S50 comfort height toilet, Mira Shower, 1200mm allow profile shower tray and sliding shower door. Finished with Silver Birch Grant Westfield Multipanel flooring, mirrored cabinet, vanity unit and white 1200x500 heated towel rail. Our latest bathroom refurbishment in Trinity, Edinburgh. The customer chose to replace their standard bath for a gorgeous traditional semi-freestanding bath, complete with a traditional style Burlington bath screen. A Bristan Regency tap and a Mira Realm shower complete the bath area.
RAK Ceramics Washington toilet, Solid Oak washstand and ceramic basin from Timamoon, finished with Bristan Regency basin tap.
The room is finished with a traditional style wall mounted towel radiator, mirror, 400x150 Matt white tiles and Warm Smoked Oak Multipanel flooring.
We also carried out some minor upgrades to the downstairs WC room, including a new towel radiator, plastering all walls and installing 2 rows of stunning tiles from Fired Earth’s Acapulco range. Just the painting to be completed by the decorator in both rooms, which we can’t wait to see.

Our first bathroom refurbishment of 2022
Although this bathroom is quite simple in its look and design, it doesn’t mean any less effort was given to ensuring the design met every requirement our customer had.
The first and most important requirement was replacing the bath with a low profile shower tray. To future proof the room for when getting in and out of the bath might not be so easy. This involved altering the drainage pipe work and running it under the floorboards.
Next was the choice of wall panels instead of tiles, allowing for easy cleaning. Similarly the semi-frameless shower enclosure, for easier cleaning and also to keep the room as open and light as possible.
The shower is a super powerful Mira Excel, one of the best (we think) in its price range for performance.
The toilet is a ‘comfort height’ toilet which is higher than standard toilets, handy for people who may have mobility issues or are a bit unsteady on their feet. It’s also rimless, again for ease of cleaning. Its fully-closed back means there’s no awkward open gap that can trap dust and be hard to clean.
The sink and vanity unit is wall hung, freeing up floor space, lessening trip hazards and making the floor easier to mop.
Lastly, the customer opted to have a dual-fuel heated towel rail, meaning they’ll be able to enjoy nice cosy towels even when their central heating system isn’t on! (We’d always recommend a dual fuel towel rail - no one needs soggy towels in their life!) π

Last week’s bathroom refurbishment, carried out while our customer enjoyed a scenic break away in Skye. Our first job was to straighten up the back wall, which was off the square by 6” π³ We added a large niche shelve into the side wall with LED lighting, providing plenty of space for shampoo etc. Our customer opted for a Mira Decor Electric shower with raindance head and slider rail. Iflo Rhea toilet, iflo trapini basin unit and iflo Anora dual lit LED mirrored cabinet. A new Schluter underfloor heating system as well as an anthracite electric towel rail will ensure the room stays nice and cosy this winter.

This is our latest bathroom refurbishment in North Berwick. We stripped out the old bathroom, repairing damaged flooring and removing the partition wall that was making the bath area looked cramped.
After fully prepping the room to our usual high standard, we installed a reversed L-shaped shower bath to make the space look neat and create an LED lit niche.
Our customer opted for a modern concrete grey look with these quality tiles from Collinson Ceramics. Mira electric shower with deluge rain head and separate rail riser, finished with a crosswater design glass bath screen.
Wall mounted bristan bath filler with a matching basin mixer tap. RAK wall hung, rimless toilet with a concealed cistern and flush plate saves even more space in the room. Here’s the last bathroom we completed before the team finished up for their October holidays. A huge amount of prep work was required in this bathroom after it was stripped back to the bricks.
Not only does the customer now have a beautiful π bathroom to enjoy (even more so once it’s painted after the plaster has had time to dry out) but they’ll also enjoy cosy feet, thanks to their newly installed Schluter Ditra underfloor heating kit. Controlled by a WiFi enabled thermostat, thoughtfully placed outside the room, so the customer can pop the heating on before entering. They’re certainly winter ready! βοΈ We can’t think of many things better than a warm bubble bath on a cold day, while your towel warms up on a heated towel rail, and you step out the bath on to warm tiles. Our latest bathroom renovation - a downstairs guest shower room in Newtown, Edinburgh.
This video doesn’t do the finish justice, it’s a gorgeous room π The feature lights make it feel like a truly tranquil space: backlit duravit mirror, underlit crosswater vanity unit and downlights in the shower niche shelf.
The shower area was stripped back and fully prepped using waterproof cement board and fully tanked incorporating a new tiled niche/shelf in the shower. Marmori Cloud Grey tiles from CTD floor to ceiling, with mosaic tiles in the niche.
Crosswater wall hung vanity unit in walnut with a cast mineral marble basin and underlights. Complete with a Hansgrohe Puravida mixer tap.
The customer also choose Hansgrohe for their shower, with concealed dual valve, rain dance head and separate rail riser handset.
Concealed toilet cistern with dual flush plate. And of course, it wouldn’t be one of our bathrooms if it wasn’t finished off with some complementary Arran Aromatics gift sets! π

We transformed this small en-suite into a spacious, sleek shower room. Removing unnecessary pipe boxing and a false partition to maximise space. The 900mm shower cubicle has been replaced by a luxurious 1500mm walk in shower area. We adjusted the drain waste so the shower tray could be lowered to the floor, improving the look and accessibility. Finished with a Kudos shower glass panel. 2 tones of Multipanel wet wall on the walls, giving a perfect contrast between the wet area and the rest of the room.
